BIRTHDAY, A CURSED DAY?

Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bore me, be blessed (Jeremiah 20:14).

After the fall of Adam, the human race sinned and fell short of the glory of God. That was why David said in Psalm 51:5 “Behold I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me.”

Ecclesiastes 7: 1 says the day of death is better than the day of one’s birth. This is why Jesus NEVER commanded His disciples to remember the day they were born but they should remember the day of His death by observing the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper.

Christ paid a high price with His precious blood in redeeming believers from the curse of the law and universal sin. Therefore, celebrating this day is counting the blood of the covenant, an unholy thing. Such believers in Christ who observe the days of birth are turning to the weak and beggarly elements, which bring them into the yoke of bondage.

It is renewing the covenant with the day that is cursed! It is therefore, a day that is not worthy of remembrance, let alone being celebrated!

None of the patriarchs or the disciples of Jesus, not even any of the saints of God in the bible observed the day they were conceived and born in sin.

But believers in Christ today bless this cursed day and make a joyful voice of it and even provoke the Lord to anger by the cutting of the so-called “birthday cakes”. These cakes are not different from the ceremonial cakes offered by the children of Israel unto a demon-goddess known as the queen of heaven as we see in Jeremiah 7: 18-19.

The two occasions recorded in the bible of birthday celebration are in Genesis 40: 20-22 and Mark 6: 21-28. And these two kings, Pharaoh and Herod, who observed and celebrated this day, were pagans.

Two lives were lost in the course of the celebrations in which King Pharaoh’s chief baker was hanged and John the Baptist, a servant of God was beheaded on the order of King Herod. It means the devil who has come to kill and to destroy was the author of these two birthday celebrations.

The devil is always at every birthday celebration, seeking whom to devour. Jesus, who came to redeem us from the Adamic sin, in which we were born into this world, must be grieved in His heart to see the people of God celebrating this day!

The truth is that the redemption of mankind was made possible by the death of Christ and by the shedding of His precious blood. Therefore, the birth of Jesus Christ, was only a precursor to this great memorable event of His death, hence Jesus never commanded His disciples to do anything in remembrance of His birth but were only commanded to remember His death by observing the Lord’s Supper often and often!

And so, this worldwide celebration of the birth of Christ, by believers and even by unbelievers is a religious ceremony in futility because it has no eternal or spiritual value to the souls of believers in Christ.

And this celebration, because it is unbiblical and ungodly, has been hijacked by the devil, who deceives the whole world, making them to accept this fictitious day of 25th December as the day Christ was born.

This preaching of “Christmas” and its celebration is actually the preaching and celebration of another Jesus, mentioned by Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4a because the word, “Christmas” is nowhere to be found in the bible neither is Mas found in the bible. A ma, an abbreviation of Mass, is a subtle strategy of Satan to tarnish the name of Christ.

What should be uppermost in the heart of every believer in Christ is the thought of his/her eternal destination when he/she leaves the world, NOT the remembrance of the day he/she was born.

WE WILL MAKE BUHARI PRESIDENT FOR LIFE

We will amend constitution, make Buhari life president - APC senatorial candidate
- The APC’s candidate for the Bauchi-south senatorial district by-election, Lawal Yahaya-Gumau, says he will work towards amending the constitution to make Buhari president for life

- He said protecting Buhari’s interest is the sole mandate he has for going the Senate

- According to Gumau, Buhari will only cease to be president when God takes his life

Lawal Yahaya-Gumau, the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s candidate for the Bauchi-south senatorial district by-election scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 11, says he will work towards the amendment of the Constitution to make President Muhammadu Buhari president for life, if elected.
He made the comment on Thursday, August 9, at the closing of his campaign in Bauchi, Punch reports.
NAIJ.com gathers that Gumau , who is currently in his eight year at the House of Representatives on behalf of the Toro federal constituency, said protecting Buhari’s interest is the sole mandate he has, for going the Senate.
He said: “I, Lawal-Yahaya Gumau, want you to know that the mandate that will be given to me on Saturday is to go and protect Buhari’s interest in the Senate.
“This is the only mandate that I will be going to the Senate with, having fulfilled every other mandate to the best of my ability while in the House of Representatives for eight years.
“By God’s grace, we will amend Nigeria’s Constitution to allow Buhari to be president for the remaining years of his life. He will only cease to be president when God takes his life.
“Obasanjo tried all his best for the constitution to be amended to allow him go for a third term, but God didn’t approve of it because of its lack of sincerity. What is now needed in Nigeria is to protect Buhari’s interest; and that is what we will do.”

“Why I Cut Off My 25-Year-Old Boyfriend’s Manhood”

A 17-year-old girl, Ramatu Tafida, has cut off the manhood of her 25-year-old boyfriend, Abdullahi Sabo, in Jigawa State.

The spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC), Adamu Shehu, disclosed this in Dutse on Saturday.

He said the incident occurred in Babura local government area of the state.

Shehu said the victim is a resident of Kofar Gabas and a teacher at Government Girls Secondary School Babura engaged under N-Power.

“The incident occurred on Thursday in Babura. The attention of our officers was drawn by a Good Samaritan who informed them that some youths were about to lynch a girl in Kofar Arewa, the resident of the suspect, to revenge for their friend.

“Immediately the officers swung into action and went to the scene and whisked the girl away to the office for safety. But the youths still followed her.

“It was when they got to the office that we realized what led to the whole matter.

“Ramlatu confessed to have used a knife to cut off the manhood of her husband-to-be.

“According to her, Abdullahi is the love of her life and he was even introduced to her family members and has equally paid the sum of N30,000 as introduction fee.

“And because of that, she was free to be with him almost all the time. As a result they became too intimate that they engaged in sexual relationship.

“However, Ramlatu later learnt that the victim planned to dump her for another girl since he has already known her as a woman. And that made her to plan and execute her attack,” he said.

OMG: Why I Slept With My Biological Son – 47-Year-Old Benue Woman Confesses

A 47-year-old Mrs. Veronica Iorshe, from Howe, Ugee Council Ward, Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State has revealed how she slept with her own biological son and eventually took in for him.

Mrs. Iorshe said she slept with her son just to save her marriage.

Recalling how she was able to lure her son to perform the incestuous act with her, the woman told Vanguard, “I am not a loose woman. I am just a woman who loves her husband very much and didn’t want to lose him.

“I did what I did to save my marriage, though I feel guilty about it. It was not easy but I slept with my first son from my first husband so that I could give my husband a child. But rather than sustaining my marriage, the plan has scattered it and I have lost it.

“I got married to my husband eight years ago. We had no child. The worst was that I never got pregnant even for one day. When I discovered that I was no longer getting younger, I was worried as much as he and his parents were.

His mother became so impatient that she started breathing down my neck as she gave me no breathing space at all. She said that I was cheating on her son, using his son’s money to maintain myself, that I’m older than his son.

“She moved in to live with us and practically made life in my matrimonial home unbearable for me. At a point, she stopped talking to me. The only time she would talk to me was when she wanted to insult me and remind me of how less a woman I was.

I was confused, more so when my husband refused to submit himself to a medical test to ascertain the source of the problem, though we loved each other before the heavy pressure from his mum came.

“We used to have serious lovemaking sessions especially during my ovulation period all in the bid to get pregnant so that my mother-in-law could stop humiliating me.

Yet, I couldn’t get pregnant. I started suspecting the problem could be from my husband when he refused to subject himself to medical test.

“But the insult from my mother-in-law was getting too much, too unbearable for me. She vowed to frustrate me out of her son’s home. To make things worse, she sent away my son saying that he has no business staying in the house. I had to look for a one-room apartment for him in Lafia.

“After he left, it was just three of us in the house in Awe, which is a distance away from Lafia. I was always terrified each time I heard her voice from a distance.

She tried to frustrate my meat market in Awe. In fact, the only time that I had peace was when I went to the market.

“It is so agonizing to say this. Instead of testing someone else to ascertain my fertility, I seduced and slept with my son. Simon is a young man in his early 20s; he has not started sleeping with women before I lured him into making love with me.”

On how the incestuous act started, she recalled this, “I started by buying good things for him, sleeping together on the same bed, playing with his manhood and gradually one thing led to another.

There was a time I asked him if he had tested sex before and he said no. I compelled him to take an oath not to disclose it to anybody.

I said I would teach him sex. I ensured that I did that during my ovulation period. I never disclosed the reason for this but deep in my mind, I wanted to test my fertility.

“I planned it during my ovulation so that I could get pregnant, although it was not easy sleeping with a son. I knew I was doing the wrong thing and betraying my husband but I saw it as a necessary action to save my marriage.

I didn’t want to go out sleeping with another man outside. I knew it was wrong but I prefer it from my son than a man outside. After one month, I discovered that I was pregnant.”

Asked if she will abort the child or keep it, Veronica revealed she will keep the child, saying: “It is blood within my blood.”

FIVE HABITS OF EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE

To get ahead in life, you need emotional intelligence. But what is it? In this article, Beauty and Tips takes a look at 10 habits of emotionally intelligent people.

Despite being key to anyones success, emotional intelligence isn’t something they teach you at school. They teach you how to do your sums or who won the second world war, but they don’t teach you how to manage your emotions, as well as those of others. Emotional intelligence is the practice of identifying a persons emotions – yours or someone else’s – and harnessing it so that our potential is fulfilled, or a conflict is resolved. As you can imagine, it’s very important that leaders and managers possess emotional intelligence. It helps them to get the best out of their team, as well as themselves, thereby stimulating both productivity and growth. Here are 10 habits of emotionally intelligent people.

(1) They Look For Solutions

There are two types of people in life – those who dwell on their problems, and those who look for solutions. Do emotionally intelligent people spend any amount of time dwelling on their problems? Nope! They immediately start to look for a way out. In this way, emotionally intelligent people are positive and not negative. They believe there is an answer to everything. While it may take them a while to find the answer, to them it’s all part of the game. People without emotional intelligence, founder in the face of a problem because they often don’t believe there is a solution.

(2) They Are Motivated

Ever been inspired by an incredibly motivated person? We all have. But what makes one person SO motivated, while we can only seem to muster motivation for one day, before spending the next six days on the sofa again? Emotional intelligence is key. People who have emotional intelligence tend to be super self-motivated. Why? Because they know what their higher purpose is, and they’re constantly re-examining themselves, their lives, their values and what they want out of life. Emotionally intelligent people are very switched on, and this is key to them finding the motivation needed each day.

(3)They Define Boundaries

It takes both intelligence and assertiveness to set boundaries between ourselves. Emotionally intelligent people are smart enough to know that, unless they set boundaries as soon as possible, situations can get out of hand. People can take advantage of us, and because we lacked the foresight and courage to say No straight away, we find it hard to get out of an escalating situation. Emotionally intelligent people set boundaries so that everyone knows what is acceptable and what isn’t. They make sure they are not taken advantage of, and they make people aware of their rights.

(4) They Take Imperfect Action

Perfectionists have the bad habit of making sure everything is absolutely perfect before declaring something is finished. Emotionally intelligent people, on the other hand, take the opposite approach. They don’t wait around out of fear of failing, and they don’t wait around until something is done absolutely perfectly. They just get it done! If they make a mistake, so be it – they’ll learn from it.

(5) They Put Themselves In Our Shoes

When a person reacts badly to someone who has emotional intelligence in reserve, shouting and swearing at them, the person who is on the receiving end of the verbal volley doesn’t react badly back. Instead, they put themselves in the other person shoes. They well aware that the angry person is not angry at them. Their anger is a culmination of many things, and it’s just now that they’ve decided to explode. This is called empathy. Emotionally intelligent people have a habit of placing themselves in someone else’s shoes, as it gives them a greater understanding and insight into why people do the thin

Governor Ortom threatens APC chair Oshiomhole with N10 billion suit

Governor Samuel Ortom has threatened to institute a N10billion suit against the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for alleged defamatory and libelous publication against his person.

In a letter to the APC chairman through his lawyers, which was made available to newsmen in Makurdi, the Governor referred to various interviews and media briefings wherein Comrade Oshiomhole allegedly defamed, maligned and demeaned his personality.

One of such instances as contained in the letter read, “Recall that on Friday, July 27th, 2018, you did cause a sponsored press conference to be aired on multiple television and radio stations which was also widely circulated in the print and social media.

“In the said sponsored press conference which was entirely centered on the person of Governor Samuel Ortom, you made very astonishing, unsubstantiated, wild and wide allegations against our client relating to the issue of allocation and payment of salaries, security votes expenditure and the insecurity in Benue State.

“It is the aggregate of your allegations that our client has confessed to sharing Benue State money with party leaders and that despite collection of bail out and Paris Club refund monies, “Gov. Ortom has not and is not paying salaries… the vicious circle of poverty in Benue State has been deepened under Gov. Ortom”.

“By deducible analysis, it is also your allegation that our client is responsible for the killings in Benue State specifically the unfortunate killing of 2 Catholic priests and their parishioners in Mbalom community which sad event occurred on the morning of 24th April, 2018.

“It is noteworthy that in the entire web of false accusations that you weaved against our client, you could not bring yourself to mention a single Benue person or any other person for that matter from whom you sourced your false narratives. For the records, the principles of law grounding liability for defamation and libel do not exculpate tale bearers from liability for the reason that the tales they bear are not original to them.

“There is also no gainsaying the fact that the false allegations you have leveled against our client are weighty and same would have demanded a greater degree of circumspection, sobriety and deep reflection from you before rushing to the public domain.

“For one who is purportedly schooled, it is taken for granted that you are fully abreast of the legal obligation cum implication that he who asserts has a corresponding burden to prove. Regrettably, in your case you spoke not to records but to base political sentiments.

“Therefore, the only inference to draw is that your unproven allegation was informed by a dangerously cultivated, albeit unwarranted malice against our client. In the circumstance, we have our client’s instruction to place before you the following demands:

“A letter of retraction/apology addressed to our client in respect of the false, defamatory and libelous statement made against him in the sponsored press conference herein complained of.

“That the said retraction/apology be simultaneously published in the Sunday edition of 10 National Dailies circulating within Benue State as well as a paid advertorial to the same effect on the prime time beats of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Channels Tv, TVC News, African Independent Television (AIT), Independent Television (ITV) Benin, Radio Nigeria, Radio Benue and Harvest FM, Makurdi.

“An undertaking not to indulge in any such false publication against our client in future.

“Payment of N10,000,000,000. (Ten Billion Naira) only to our client as punitive, general, exemplary and aggravated damages

“We have our client’s express instruction that the terms above be met within 7 days of receipt of this letter. It is the further instruction of our client that in the event of any failure,

6 THINGS THAT ARE SINGNIFICANT TO THE HAUSA MARRIAGE

Hausa is a major tribe in northern Nigeria. Although the main language spoken by people living in that part of the country is Hausa, other languages exist. The Hausa culture itself strikes many people as being interesting.
Marriage ceremony in Hausa land is a major highlight that would help many understand the culture and see its uniqueness when compared to the other tribes in Nigeria.
Hausa traditional marriage is based on Islamic rites. When compared to marriages in Igbo and Yoruba land, it is less expensive and dramatic. The processes of Hausa marriage could be broken into the following six processes:
1. Na gani ina
Like most marriages in Nigeria, the first step is seeking the consent of the parents of the bride after the groom or his family has made their choice. This is often referred to as ‘Na gani ina’ which means what I see. The parents of the bride on the other hand starts planning and make moves to investigate the family of the man that has shown interest in their daughter.
The research done by the family of the bride is to find out the key things considered important to them. Most families check the religious beliefs of the groom to be, family background, qualification, moral and ethics.
                   A stunning Hausa bride.
2. Friendship between the couple
Upon being satisfied with the findings made, the groom is then allowed to see the bride briefly. This is to help them know each other a little.
The family discourages them from having any form of physical contact or courting. If the bride to-be is in agreement with the whole marriage proposal, then the parents of the man make the move to formally ask for the girl’s hand in marriage.
Although, this method may be slightly different for all the tribes in that part of the country, it is presumed to be the most common.
3. Kanya Zance and Gaisuwais
The family of the groom goes to the bride’s family bearing gift items like Kolanut, sweets and other things. The groom’s family also provides what is called Kayan Zance. The items include fabrics, cosmetic products, perfumes, underwears, scarves, shoes and money. When these items are accepted and the negotiation for bride price begins, Gaisuwais is said to have taken place.
4. Rubu Dinar
The bride price is most times set to be low so that the blessings that will be gotten from the union may be more. The minimum payment is referred to as Rubu Dinar; this is a quarter kilogram of gold piece. The groom’s family can however pay more if they are financially buoyant.
5. Sadaki and Sarana
The term Sadaki means dowry, the moment it is paid, the bride belongs to the groom. After this, the wedding date is agreed upon by both families. Setting of the wedding date is called Sarana.
In most cases, the groom’s family makes provision for the house which the couple would live in. However, it is the responsibility of the bride’s family to furnish the house. Special attention is paid to the bride’s kitchen, living room and bedroom
A group of men at a wedding fatihah.
6. Fatihah, Kunshi and Walimah
The wedding day is called Fatihah; the families of the couple would be present while the bride herself would be made to go through Kunshi. During the wedding Fatihah which comes under the Daurin Aure, vows are being made with prayers made for the couple.
Older women gather to advice and                           pray for the new bride.
This is more or less a bridal shower which prepares the bride for her new role as a wife. The bride is being taught various things that may be considered helpful in her new home. While at it, various perfumes are being rubbed on the bride while Henna is applied on her hands and feet.
After these events, the wedding reception which is called Walimah takes place. Guests present at the wedding are being entertained with various foods and drinks. At the end of the day, the bride is being led to her husband’s house. This is referred to as Kai Amariya. The bride is being prayed for before she takes her leave.

What IS WRONG WITH OUR YOUTHS?

The rate at which young people behaves this days is becoming increasingly alarming.
Our fathers have layed down some indisputable standards for the youths to follow
But it seems like their efforts has been rendered futile.
They have rebranded the culture and traditions our fathers fought for to be outdated and barbaric but so doing embracing westernization to it's fullness.
The attitude of most youths calls for urgent need for restructuring.
Even the Bible (the undisputed word of God) says "our young men shall dream dreams" but it seems like the dreams have turned into nightmares.
Where do we start correcting?
Is it the attitude?
Is it their appalling manner of dressing?

Is it the rate of laziness?
What do you think is the way out of this lackadaisical and stupid attitude?

The beautiful ones have been given birth to a long time ago.
Does it mean that they don't know that they  are the beautiful ones? My dear youths It doesn't matter whether you are ugly or not but what matters is that you carry world potential that will cause generational change in the whole world.
Frank Edwards sang a song "that thing wey you dy find for sokoto dy for your shokoto"
We should stop blaming the external factors in this case but rather take the blame upon ourselves and make Nigeria great.

Do we still have spirits (ghost)on earth

Do Spirits(Ghosts) Still Linger On Earth?

In your religion, do you believe that there are such things as ghosts?
But what is a ghost?
Although definitions vary, the most common one is that ghosts are the disembodied spirits of dead people that linger on earth.
According to tradition, ghosts are invisible but can permit humans to see them.
The Spirits
Our spirits are all real and though we cannot normally see a spirit separate from a body, they live in the world of spirits awaiting the resurrection when the body and the spirit will reunite to become an immortal soul never to face death again.
There are good and bad spirits.
Satan has a following of bad spirits who were cast out to earth life:
“ And there was war in heaven: Michael [who became Adam] and his angels fought against the dragon;.......And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ”
They are the bad spirits that are still trying to prompt us to do evil.
Some may call these bad spirits, ghosts, but they are nothing to be afraid of if we follow Christ, because good has power over evil.
Are These Lingering Ghosts The Spirits Of Dead People?
The following questions should be considered when answering the above questions for ourselves.
*If a ghost is the spirit of a dead person, shouldn't a spirit appear unclothed after shedding his earthly body and its garments?
*Is one to conclude that pants, shirts, dresses contain spirits of their own that faithfully cling to the ghost of a person?
What Does the Bible Say About This?
God's Word, the Bible, is the foundation for understanding both the visible and invisible world because God is Lord of both the natural and the supernatural.
You could quickly notice that it never portrays souls as lingering after death. (The immediate destination of heaven or hell rules out that idea. Luke 16:22–23, Luke 23:43, and 2 Corinthians 5:8.)
However, the Scripture affirms the existence of immaterial spirits. Mark 5:2–15 details Jesus's encounter with a man indwelt by a multitude of unclean spirits.
Christ ordered them out but permitted them to enter a herd of swine.
These aren't ghosts; they're demons fallen angels governed by Satan ( Matthew 12:22–28).
But why would demons want to deceive the living by impersonating the dead?
As servants of Satan and enemies of God, they would have every reason to cast doubt on God's Word and its warnings about future judgment.
Getting people to believe in ghosts automatically forces them to reject key Bible verses (see Hebrews 9:27).
Conclusion
No evidence has produced a single fact that should sway a Christian into believing that the spirits of deceased people can loiter on earth.
The only conclusion is that ghosts are either imaginations, or else they are demons.
Do you believe in ghosts?
